Paint Filling - Fine Engravings?

Question: I have a King Silver Flair Trumpet with a nice engraving of a flower on it. I want to trace over the engraving in black to give it some extra contrast. What would be a good way to trace over this engraving? It's really fine - a toothpick will not fit in the channel - probably laser cut.

Answer: Your best bet is a liquid material which can be applied to the trumpet, and then removed from the surface of the metal and left behind in the channels - similar to the intaglio printing process. In fact you could probably use Intaglio ink to serve your purposes. Link is to etching inks, which should serve you well.
